A cute video of Tamar Braxton spending time with her son Logan caught the eye of her new friend Kandi Burruss, and she had to show some love to the “Celebrity Big Brother” winner.
On Tuesday, Feb. 27, Braxton uploaded a clip to her Instagram page dancing around with her 5-year-old son who is affectionately nicknamed Beans.
“It’s nothing like Dancing in the kitchen with my beans💕” the star captioned the clip. Mother and son pranced around the apartment, which Braxton plans to sell for an upgraded living space of a house.
The pair got down to The Sugar Hill Gang’s “Apache (Jump On It)” in matching black athleisure wear, and the bonding moment led to a sweet comment from Burruss.
“Beans!!!!❤️” the Xscape singer exclaimed.
Fans who saw her remark were equally as thrilled, encouraging the two women to keep up their camaraderie.
“@kandi yes keep the sisterhood going. Y’all are my faves!!”
“@kandi omg I love this friendship ❤️”
“@kandi 😘😘😘”
While Burruss and Braxton are pals now, that hasn’t always been the case.
The two entered the “Celebrity BB” house together in January and weren’t exactly thrilled to see each other because of past drama on New Year’s Eve 2017. At the time, Burruss was on tour with her girl group, and Braxton served as one of their opening acts.
A problem came when Braxton wanted to invite her friends Ts Madison and Khia on stage. But their presence wasn’t welcome.
“Everybody, of course, was letting special guests come in that night,” Burruss explained on the CBS competition show last month. “And [Tamar] invited someone to come onstage who had basically said a lot of negative things about myself and some other members of our group and also people that we are close to.”
Meanwhile, Braxton said Burruss “ain’t never really liked me like that.”
And although Braxton admitted on “Daily Pop” that her and Burruss burying the hatchet was initially part of a strategy, the pair ultimately came out of the “Big Brother” house as buddies.
“I’m really grateful that she was there,” Braxton told Entertainment Weekly. “And I’m really grateful of the friendship that we’ve been able to have in the house and outside of the house.”
“Y’all don’t know we needed this!” Burruss said during her exit interview on the competition show. “We really did. … That’s crazy to know somebody that long and you can’t really depend on each other. … Some kinda way we turned it around and we really supported each other, and I’m so thankful for it.”
