“Love and Hip Hop” actress Erica Mena made a token gesture toward “Growing Up Hip Hop” star Kiyomi Leslie by offering her a few words of encouragement after her alleged fight with rapper Bow Wow.
Both Mena, 31, and Leslie, 27, are former girlfriends of Bow Wow. Leslie recently split with the So So Def rapper a few weeks ago after they got into a physical altercation on Feb. 2. Bow reportedly became jealous of Leslie hanging all over NBA star Shaquille O’Neal at a party, and it led to an explosive confrontation. Bow and Leslie were both hauled off to jail after Atlanta police found injuries on both individuals.
Leslie still appears to be dealing with the emotional repercussions of the alleged assault, and Mena wanted the model to know she supports her 100 percent. The 27-year-old Leslie took to Instagram on Feb. 21 and shared a photo of herself modeling casualwear. In her photo caption, she seemingly addressed her breakup with Bow Wow, saying, “See I know I deserve more… I just never said it.”
Mena, who also made abuse claims against the “Bounce with Me” artist, offered her support to Leslie and told her to keep a smile on her face.
“Keep that smile and head up high!” the 31-year-old commented underneath’s Leslie’s comments.
Leslie responded back, “Thanks E … I will!”
Fans chimed in and commended Mena for offering the 27-year-old support.
“Yess Erica I love this ❤️! Keep smiling through it all,” one user wrote.
Another added, “Yass Erica come threw with the ❤️. Queens supporting queens.”
Mena and Bow Wow became engaged fall of 2014 and called it quits by late 2015. Mena claimed she broke up with the rapper after he abused her and tried to commit suicide in front of her son. Bow blamed social media for their ending relationship and mentioned that he wasn’t quite ready to commit.
Mena is currently engaged to her “LHHNY” star Safaree Samuels and claims she couldn’t be more happy.
