Tami Roman inadvertently found herself in some controversial territory when she gave a birthday shoutout to “Love and Hip Hop Hollywood” star Paris Phillips.
“Happy birthday to one of the sweetest, funniest and realest! @whoisparisphillips you know I love me some you #mifamilia ❤️ #tbt #setlife #kekeInFallGirls the “Basketball Wives” star said on Instagram Thursday, Aug. 23.
Roman spent some time with Phillips when the pair filmed the movie “Fall Girls” in Los Angeles last month. The flick will also star Erica Peeples and “Love and Hip Hop Miami” star Amara La Negra.
But regardless of Phillips’ affiliation with Roman, one commenter took a major issue with the “Bonnet Chronicles” creator.
“So you unfollowed K. Michelle because you’re now friends with the fraud? Noted!” the user remarked.
“I’m cool with a lot of people I don’t follow, but why you checking who I follow? That screams free time and it’s weird. 🤷🏾♀️”
It appears the negative remark has led Roman to put limits on the kinds of comments that can be made under the birthday post, currently. A glimpse of the video now mostly shows generally kind and happy birthday messages.
The issue between Phillips and K. Michelle stems from the fact that three years ago, Phillips allegedly used the singer’s credit card without her permission to fund a $50 Uber fare. Phillips claimed she mistakenly had the star’s card information still stored on her phone and tried to return the money. More recently, Michelle indicated she’d take legal action against Phillips.
Regardless, Phillips herself appreciated the birthday wishes from her one-time co-star.
“I love you Big Sis, You been solid since the day we met … So happy to call you Family,” she commented. “Thank you so much I truly appreciate you from the bottom of my heart. Reggie, I need to fly tonight!”
