As “Basketball Wives” star Tami Roman continues to grapple with the scrutiny that surrounds her weight, the star has found some inspiration in a “Love and Hip Hop Hollywood” producer’s Instagram post.
Roman reposted a message from Treiva Williams’ page remarking on the moment a woman decided to stop letting others dictate when she can be happy.
“She woke up different. Done with trying to figure out who was with her, against her, or walking down the middle because they didn’t have the guts to pick a side,” the post read. “She was done with anything that didn’t bring her peace. She realized that opinions were a dime a dozen, validation was for parking, and loyalty wasn’t a word but a lifestyle. It was this day that her life changed. And not because of a man or a job but because she realized that life is way too short to leave the key to your happiness in someone else’s pocket.”
“All of this…” Roman co-signed the memo.
Fans who caught the post praised Roman’s growth and ability to rise above the naysayers.
“And this is why I love @tamiroman because she allowed us to watch this transition and it’s so beautiful…💜👑💜.”
“Yes Gurlie Yes I’m Loving yr Growth God is Awesome #GoBGr8”
“This is more of a blessing to me than you realize! Shalom Queen 👑”
Roman has had her fair share of trouble from criticizers online and on the VH1 reality series, especially when it comes to her weight.
Evelyn Lozada charged on the show that Roman was “lookin’ like a crackhead these days.”
And most recently, the star’s daughter Jazz Anderson had to take control when a commenter’s joke about Roman’s “candlesticks” legs was ill received.
“@mommalouisiana U lame,” Anderson said. “How you come on someone else’s page (WHO U STILL FOLLOW) early in the morning to hate. Go brush your teeth first, get the crust out your eye before you attempt a bad joke.”
