K. Michelle is feeling sentimental. The singer is gearing up to have her butt implants removed in January and in a twerk-filled tribute video, the star is bidding them adieu. The “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star has been open about her health struggles stemming from the illegally obtained enhancements, which she nicknamed Betsy. Now, she’s ready to return to a more natural state.

“It’s time to allow my new booty to be set free,” she wrote in a caption of a twerking clip soundtracked to Boyz II Men’s “It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday.” “I had so much fun, Betsy! You were the apple of the eye of several NFL, NBA [players] and rappers. They loved that ass! But I am proud to say you were not thotful, you were ladylike! I will miss you and how my jeans fit. But I won’t miss hopping into my jeans every morning. I won’t miss my weight being so up and down that when I’m smaller you have me looking like a chicken drumstick.

K. Michelle also acknowledged she’ll be glad to get rid of the health concerns the large booty brought her, including orthopedic issues that she mentioned at a December album listening session.

“I’ll miss you Betsy, but you also caused me inflammation throughout my body,” the soon-to-be-mom of twins via surrogate concluded. “No amount of beauty is worth your health! So everything has to be returned to its natural state! [In January] I’ll really be Kimberly again.”

And while some didn’t want Betsy to leave…

It’s a good thing the “Make This Song Cry” singer is putting her health first, as cosmetic surgery can be deadly.

A Louisiana woman learned this the hard way after visiting a Florida clinic and suffering from cardiac arrest. Kizzy London visited Miami’s Jolie Plastic Surgery Center to get a Brazilian butt lift and ultimately died during the procedure; she was the fourth person to pass away at the center. Local health department records revealed the doctor, Arnoldo Valls, was not board certified and had no medical malpractice insurance.

“The people who are doing these injections aren’t trained medically most of the time,” Dr. Aisha Baron, Marietta, Ga.-based board certified plastic surgeon told Atlanta Black Star of illegal body modifications. “It’s just someone who decides to open up a fake clinic in a back alley of a hotel or something like that and you don’t know exactly what they’re injecting.”

“While we would love to help patients kind of get back to their normal self, it’s really hard and it could potentially put our results and our reputation in jeopardy,” she added.
