After weeks of speculation, singer Ciara confirmed the pregnancy rumors Tuesday while on talk show “The View”. Ciara has been known for having one of the leanest and physically impressive bodies in the industry. However, over the past month or so on Instagram, fans guessed the singer was pregnant, as she wore looser clothes than usual.
Ciara’s Saint Laurent cape dress was the perfect look for concealing her pregnancy until Tuesday’s big live reveal. She shared a photo of herself wearing the chic ensemble before her appearance, and the bump was barely visible.
In October, rapper Future asked Ciara to be his wife. After the proposal, Ciara tweeted, “Today Has 2 Be Like One Of The Sweetest Days Of My Life! #TheBestBirthdayEver [sic],” and “If I’m Dreaming I Don’t Want to Wake up!” Though Ciara and Future just got engaged, it seemed like it was in the making for years.
“I’m so excited for this year,” Ciara said on the show — and what a year it will be, with a wedding and a baby on the way! 
In August, Future told Hot 97 radio host Angie Martinez during an interview that he knew Ciara was the one for him when he saw her seven years ago at a video shoot. “For it to come around and happen, it was just meant to be. This is the one,” he said. The two have matching tattoos. Future tattooed a “C” on his ring finger in May, and on hers Ciara has an “N”, which stands for his real name, Nayvadius. The pair have been dating for a little more than a year.
The baby will be the first together for Ciara, 28, and Future, 30. Future has three other children from previous relationships.
