Every time President Donald Trump steps onto a stage, the elderly billionaire creates headline-grabbing moments that stun viewers.
Trump, 80, has spent the last few weeks crisscrossing the nation to rally support for Republican candidates in tight races.
As the midterm elections approach, the leader of the MAGA movement has tried to use his presidential clout to spotlight his embattled party.

The rallies often become a showcase for Trump’s strange on-stage behavior, ranting about various topics.
On Oct. 20, the commander-in-chief headed to Greenville, North Carolina, to boost GOP voter turnout. One moment from the event set the internet ablaze.
Multiple demonstrators interrupted Trump throughout his speech. He spoke for about 30 minutes behind bulletproof glass as a heckler threw him off his game.
“Oops. Is that another one? No, I think that person’s on our side… That person’s on our side,” Trump stated while searching through the crowd for the source of the loud disturbance.
The president’s devoted MAGA supporters began chanting “U.S.A.” to drown out the disrupter. A sneering Trump then spat on the floor before standing silent for several seconds.
Trump spewing saliva out of his mouth ignited online reactions. Social media users were befuddled that he might have spread germs to his own fans.
“Did he spit out a bug? What was that about?” one person on Threads wondered. Another user on the app replied, “Was it a tooth?”
Other posters expressed disgust, calling it “Absolutely vile.”
“What on earth is going on here? Why is President Trump spitting on the floor during a rally in North Carolina?” asked a confused X user.
First Lady Melania Trump also became the target of trolling when one account sarcastically posted, “Such a classy man. Melania is a lucky lady.”
The spitting incident was not the only buzzworthy image from the Greenville rally. Photographer Evan Vucci also captured a bizarre-looking snapshot of lights reflecting off a bulletproof screen.
The viral photo made Trump look illuminated and bug-eyed. His wide-open mouth made the pic even more outlandish.
“Ew. His tongue is creepy as hell,” a grossed-out Threads user wrote in reaction to the picture. One jokester quipped, “First time he ever looked bright.”
Plus, Trump got compared to a character in a classic 1998 comedy movie in a post that read, “Looks like the villain in ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit?’”
However, some people shifted blame to the media in the room for trying to make Trump look bad, as he claimed. “The photojournalists certainly know what they’re doing hahaha,” added one person.
Before the former reality television star stepped into the White House a decade ago, he experienced numerous lighting mishaps at his events.
A protester cut off the spotlights at a 2016 Trump rally in Atlanta. That event’s lighting director stepped away from the booth to use the bathroom, giving the prankster an opportunity.
Two years after the election, the Cabinet Room went dark during a White House news conference. The lights quickly came back on, but not before the embarrassing snafu rattled the president.
“Whoops, they just turned off the lights. That must be the intelligence agencies,” Trump joked, later adding, “That was strange. But that’s OK.”
Fast forward to March 2026, Trump complained about the brightness at the National Republican Congressional Committee fundraising dinner in Washington, D.C.
“These lights are so bright, I can’t see a thing in the audience,” the sweaty president whined. He also said, “I can’t see a d—n thing with these stupid lights they have up.”
With the midterm election less than two weeks away, Trump will visit other battleground states to mobilize his base to turn out.
Each rally will surely provide more odd occurrences, which have become synonymous with this administration.
