Donald Trump’s son has apparently had it with the internet shaming one billionaire’s wife.
Eric Trump is firing back at critics who turned a massive charitable donation into yet another chance to mock a woman’s appearance.
The move puts him in an unusual position. Eric is defending someone against the kind of personal attacks that have become routine in his father’s political orbit. But it got worse once his wife was dragged into the melee.

Critics seized on the irony immediately, and his attempt to silence them only gave the internet more ammunition.
The woman at the center of it all is Susan Dell. She recently attended a White House meeting with Trump, her husband, Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell, and other tech executives.
Michael and Susan’s $6.25 billion commitment to children’s investment accounts should have dominated headlines. Instead, Susan’s face stole the show.
What began as a celebration of generosity has become a public roast. Social media users are digging up old photographs, replaying viral videos and debating whether the outrage is justified.
Along the way, Susan has become an unlikely lightning rod.
“People are awful,” Eric wrote on X. “Susan and Michael Dell just put $6.25 billion into Trump Accounts for 25 million kids so they’ll have something waiting for them when they grow up.”
He called the contribution one of the largest private donations in American history.
“The response? Vicious attacks on her,” he continued. “I’m tired of this nonsense. Very few people have done more for philanthropy. It’s disgusting and it has to stop.”
Eric closed by thanking Susan on behalf of what he called the overwhelming majority of Americans.
One person agreed, “People shouldn’t attack her for what she did to her face. She’s a MAGA woman. That’s just what they look like.”
The outrage traces back to Susan’s Oct. 7 Oval Office appearance, where her facial expressions nearly upstaged President Donald Trump.
Standing behind the president, Susan appeared wide-eyed and visibly restless. She blinked repeatedly. She shifted her posture. She touched Trump’s chair.
Trump eventually turned around and invited her to speak. After her remarks, he appeared impressed. He even jokingly offered his endorsement if she ever pursued political office.
However, the president never said anything about his ally’s looks, especially given his well-documented history of commenting on women’s looks.
The internet was far less generous with the son’s comments, blasting people for attacking Dell. Some even realized that the post Eric reshared only had 619 comments, but his post reached nearly 7,000.
“He didn’t have to highlight and repost a damn insult photo,” one critic wrote. Another reminded Eric of his father’s behavior: “Your father called a female journalist “piggy”. Do you really want to have this conversation?”
“I agree but your dad started this horses—t culture. People are just taking their lead from him,” someone offered.
Eric’s attempt to defend Susan quickly backfired when critics turned the spotlight on his own wife, Lara Trump.
“Dude, you stole millions from kids cancer charities. Perhaps you should sit this one out. And btw this is your wife’s transformation too,” the X user wrote, referencing allegations against Eric that he has disputed.
Another noted, “That’s why he spoke up, hit too close to home.”
Those who pay attention notice Lara’s appearance has changed dramatically since she met Eric in 2008.
Her transformation from understated styling to a more glamorous “MAGA makeover” includes fuller lips, plumper cheeks, bleached hair and bolder eyebrows. Cosmetic experts have speculated about Botox, fillers and eyelid surgery, but Lara has never publicly confirmed undergoing any cosmetic procedures.
Susan and Lara are not the only ones being dragged after his post. One X user posted a collage of various Kennedy Center trustees that the president appointed, all of whom seem to have the MAGA makeover.
And this wasn’t Susan’s first time trending.
In December 2025, she drew similar attention during the couple’s original White House announcement. Cameras captured her blinking slowly, leaning sideways and making unusual expressions behind Trump.
Some viewers questioned her behavior. Others dug up photographs from decades earlier for comparison. “Someone posted a pic of her from the early 90’s and she was a gorgeous, natural beauty. It’s very sad what she’s done to herself,” one commenter wrote.
Susan’s changing appearance has fueled speculation about cosmetic surgery, though she has never confirmed any procedures.
Critics have linked her look to “Mar-a-Lago face,” the ultra-polished aesthetic associated with taut skin, prominent cheekbones, plumped lips, and lifted features in Trump’s wealthy social circle.
The look has become instant shorthand for the ultra-polished appearance associated with Palm Beach society.
For Susan, however, the latest controversy has once again overshadowed her philanthropy. A historic gift aimed at millions of children has been reduced to a debate over her face.
And Eric’s defense only gave her critics fresh ammunition back on his own family.
