Simone Biles Reveals Chilling Encounter with Three Masked Men — Then Shows Off Her Shocking Upgrade

Simone Biles just bought herself a new set of wheels after enduring a frightening incident.

The legendary gymnast has announced she’s moving from Chicago to Indiana as her NFL player husband Jonathan Owens signed to the Indianapolis Colts following his last season with the Chicago Bears.

In addition to getting a new home, she also purchased a new car … but it wasn’t necessarily just a gift for herself.

On Monday, Sept. 21, she released a “Get Ready With Me” video while explaining how a scary moment encouraged her to get the car of her dreams.

She said, “I feel like I need a new car because, during our last few months in Chicago, three men in masks came to our house and stole my Porsche.”

Without giving any more details about the actual incident, she said, “I feel like I need a reality TV show. The things that happen to me are absolutely insanity, and so it would be really easy for producers to just film regularly.”

According to the 30-year-old, the robbery is one of the reasons why she decided to get a Doberman pinscher guard dog.

In the caption, she said the vehicle was “recovered” but she’s “onto the next.”

Biles shared a bit of extra information about the vehicle theft in the comments.

One person said, “Most cars esp higher end ones come with a tracker…wtf they thought they was going?”

She responded, “exactly, I was tracking them the whole time.”

Another person wrote, “Damnnn sorry you got your car stolen. That really sucks. Enjoy the new car.”

A third person who is aware of another vehicle she has wrote, “Wait! What happened to the G-wagon!?”

She assured the commenter that her Mercedes-Benz SUV is a keeper: “still have her, I’ll always have a g wagon hahaha.”

The video shows Biles saying that before getting the Porsche, she was initially interested in a Lamborghini. However, the car salesman told her that she could get an Audi RSQ8, which would be the same engine for half the price.

But when she test-drove the vehicle, the engine had too much muscle for her. So they walked over to Porsche, where she tried the Porsche Cayenne GTS, and she immediately fell in love.

“And baby when they turned that thing on, I was sold,” she said. “So we never even made it to Lambo.”

Well, thanks to the robbery, she finally has made it to Lamborghini and purchased what she wanted.

In her follow-up video on Sept. 22, she showed her vehicle being unveiled at a Houston Lamborghini dealer.

All smiles, she hopped into the driver’s seat of a matte-black Lambo SUV with a black-and-yellow interior. She was also greeted with red and yellow roses sitting on the front passenger seat.

Now that she’s got her new vehicle, it looks like she is ready to make her move to Indiana.

On Sept. 15, Biles told People, “I’ve been in Houston most of the time, so I’m going to officially move there [to Indianapolis] a little bit later.”

“So I haven’t experienced too much, but the stadium is stunning,” she continued. “It’s beautiful. I’m just excited to watch my husband. It doesn’t matter, as long as he’s safe and healthy and he’s having fun, then I don’t care.”

Biles and Owens’ primary residence is in Houston. They finished building their custom home there last November after five years of construction.

Independent journalism still matters.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
