Justus Kelley made beauty pageant history at Miss USA’s 75th competition on Thursday, becoming the first mother and first married woman to hold the title.
But everyone’s talking about former Miss USA Kenya Moore.
Moore’s comeback has social media users paying as much attention to her appearance as to her career milestone.
While in Miami, the former pageant queen shared photos in honor of the organization’s 75th anniversary celebration.
Moore marked the occasion with a confident message: “My legacy will always be Iconic.”
Moore’s return has generated plenty of excitement from fans, but several commenters focused on how different she appeared in the recent images compared with photos they remembered from her earlier years in the spotlight.
Moore has admitted to Botox and having work done on her body after her daughter’s birth in November 2018. She showcased her results during season 13 of “RHOA.”
In a since-deleted post in 2021, she thanked plastic surgeon Dr. Chad Deal for giving her a “new life and new boobs.”
Back in March of this year, she thanked New York plastic surgeon Dr. Sterry “for giving me my confidence back and bikini ready for my new project! I love my results and the entire process was seamlessly executed!”
Moore flaunted her noticeably slimmer physique and face in a bikini video while on vacation, leaving mystery about what changes she made.
But fans noticed her look in recent photos seems more enhanced than usual.
One person questioned whether the images were heavily edited, writing, “Too filtered and airbrushed @kenya do you think this really looks like you?”
“The pic has a filter or smthg which she doesn’t need at all,” one person wrote. Others simply asked, “Is this Kenya? I’m confused!” and “Wait who is this.”
One commenter complimented Moore’s new look while admitting she looks a tad unrecognizable compared ot previous photos.
“NGL [Not gone lie] I didn’t know who that was in the first pic. You look gorgeous though,” said one commentator. Another pointed out, “It’s the eyes. I didn’t recognize her at first.”
Others questioned whether a filter caused the difference.
Another user took the speculation even further, asking, “Urm did someone change her face? What’s happening?”
The discussion did not end with Moore’s latest posts. A separate Instagram post from the previous week prompted similar reactions, with Instagram labeling that particular post as containing AI-generated content.
Some users questioned the apparent editing, with one commenter asking, “Why y’all gaggin over A.I?”
Moore has not publicly addressed the comments about her appearance or explained whether filters, editing or artificial intelligence played a role.
The actress has admitted to having a breast reduction and a lift after having her now-8-year-old Brooklyn. She was born during her marriage to restaurateur Marc Daly, which ended in 2023.
After her chest grew during and after pregnancy, Moore said the change in her body left her considering other options.
“They got bigger, but after I stopped breastfeeding my body went right back like after three weeks. I was surprised!” Moore told the Jasmine Brand in 2021.
The renewed attention comes after she co-hosted the Miss USA 75th Diamond Celebration on The CW, alongside Ian Ziering at Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.
The assignment brought Moore back to the organization that launched her career more than three decades ago.

She won the Miss USA crown in 1993 at 22 years old, becoming only the second Black woman to hold the title.
Miss USA officially announced Moore and Ziering as hosts after first teasing viewers with clues about an unnamed former winner who transitioned to reality television.
The announcement sparked an immediate wave of excitement among pageant fans and long-time followers of Moore’s television career.
Moore has been working in entertainment since the 1990s, long before reality TV made her a household name. She built an acting résumé with roles in films and television. She had appearances in “Waiting to Exhale,” “The Jamie Foxx Show,” “Girlfriends,” and “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”
After joining “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” in 2012, she became one of the franchise’s most recognizable personalities.
Bravo parted ways with her in June 2024 following an incident at the grand opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa. During filming, Moore displayed unauthorized and explicit posters of cast newcomer Brittany Eady after the two had a dispute.
Since leaving the show, Moore has continued pursuing acting and television projects while growing her Kenya Moore Hair brand and returning to her pageant roots.
