Claudia Jordan Catches Heat After Disputing Former ‘Deal or No Deal’ Co-Star Meghan Markle’s Claims About ‘Bimbo’ Treatment While on Show

Claudia Jordan is in hot water with social media users after the talk show host disputed allegations from Meghan Markle, who claimed that she was “reduced to a bimbo” and “objectified” during her tenure on the popular competition show “Deal or No Deal.”

Claudia, who appeared alongside Meghan on the NBC game show in the mid-2000s, took to her Instagram Stories, where she went on a rant in response to comments Meghan made on the latest episode of her podcast “Archetypes.”

“Now Meghan…” the former model captioned an article about the former “Suits” star’s comment on her account. “For clarity — yes getting a MODELING GIG on a game show isn’t necessarily about your intellect BUT every show the executive producers picked 5 models with the most outgoing and fun personalities to place mics on who they KNEW would engage with the contestants,” she continued. Claudia made it clear that, “Deal or No Deal never treated us like bimbos. We got so many opportunities because of that show.”

The reality star added that it’s the “kind of opportunity” that “is what you make it.”  She noted, “If you just show up and don’t engage – then you’ll just get your check and not get much out of it.” She continued, “But if you show up and seize your moments, there’s no limits to what you can do with the opportunity.”

“I actually enjoyed my experience working on Deal or No Deal,” Claudia, who starred on the show from 2005 to 2009, shared before listing her achievements, adding that being on the show “was a step on the ladder I’ve been ascending on for 25 years that paid all my bills, put me in front of 13 million+ people/ night, and led to me getting.”

She added, “On ‘Celebrity Apprentice,’ ‘Celebrity apprentice All stars’, Breast cancer awareness campaign, guest hosting Extra, getting into People Magazine’s 100 most Beautiful issue and SO MUCH more. Oh I almost forgot … it ALSO led to me Co-HOSTING the 2009 Miss Universe pageant with @billybush in front of half a BILLION people. Not too shabby for a ‘bimbo’!”

Claudia claimed it wasn’t an attack on Meghan but rather, “I’m especially protective of @howiemandel who was nothing but kind and respectful to ALL 26 of us.” Fans quickly came to Meghan’s defense, many of whom slammed Claudia for minimizing the former actress’ experience, including one user who wrote, “Her experience is not your experience Claudia. Let’s all mind our business and stop trying to regulate other ppls feelings and trauma.”

Another added, “Misunderstanding about something that was HER experience ??? she never said ANYTHING about YOU. You taking up for this show and these people like you own it???”

The comments didn’t get any gentler. “But that was her view of it. She’s not wrong for having her opinion. We see where they ended up, one a Princess and the other… Well,” added a third. “She said ‘She Felt’  you exactly came to shade her.”

Although the former “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star didn’t delete her comments, she later returned to her stories where she addressed her critics. According to Claudia, “way too many people can’t read or comprehend basic English.”

The actress maintained, “I didn’t invalidate Meghan’s feelings–I just clearly stated mine. Her feelings are her feelings. But I wanted to make it clear that in my opinion it wasn’t the environment there that brought that about.” She concluded her post by telling viewers to “Relax.”

Meghan has yet to respond.
