‘Best I Ever Had It’: Steve Harvey Talks About the Significance of Aging, Says He’s Only Getting Better with Time

Steve Harvey is known to drop motivational gems, and this time he broke the down the significance of aging. The comedian and actor opened up about the importance of taking care of your health as you get older. As a talk show host, business owner, philanthropist, and father of seven, Harvey said he intentionally carves out time to take care of his health.

“Age don’t sneak up on you man. Age walks up on you, slaps you and drags you off,” he explained in an Instagram video shared on Saturday, Sept. 24. “I don’t want to just leave it to cherish. I don’t want to just let it takes it course and go away as fast as it can. My drive is be able to move, have a form of flexibility without everything hurting.”

The motivational speaker shared that he “used” to have pain in his back and “jacked up” knees. He saw long-term results after hitting the gym and “stretching” with his coaches.

“Working out is not easy all the time but the benefits for your health is immeasurable because that goes into the two most important things you have. And that’s your time and your health,” said Harvey. “Aging is cool. I’m glad.”

The “Kings of Comedy” star then recalled someone asking him what age if wished he could go back to. His response was, “I said 64 because it’s the best I ever had it.”

The actor who turned 65 in January continued in the caption, “Aging is cool, because every year I get better…this is the best i’ve ever had it!”
