‘Taking the First Step Is Always the Hardest’: Wendy Williams’ Fans Share Well-Wishes for the Talk Show Legend After She Reportedly Checks Into a Wellness Facility

Wendy Williams reportedly has checked into a wellness facility in order to focus on her health.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Williams’ publicist told them, “She [Wendy] is taking some time to focus on her health and wellness as she prepares for a major comeback for the next level in her career with The Wendy Experience Podcast.”

Her publicist added, “Ms. Williams is being treated by a team of some of the best doctors in the world. We ask for your prayers and well wishes during this time.”

Once news about Williams’ health status broke, many fans sent over their well-wishes for the Emmy winner.

“Get well soon and stay as long as you need, health is wealth”

“Praying all the best. Better to know you need help and get it than to struggle alone.”

“As she should, regardless of what this is for, it’s good for her… taking the first step is always the hardest.”

Throughout the years, Williams has fought a constant battle with addiction and in particular within the past year, has suffered a great deal of health issues. As a result of her health challenges, the 58-year-old needed to take a leave of absence from her former daytime talk show, “The Wendy Williams Show.”

Multiple celebrities stepped in as a guest host for the show such as Michael Rapaport, Jerry Springer and most notably Sherri Shepherd; who received some backlash after Williams’ production company, Debmar-Mercury, offered her her own daytime show titled, “Sherri” which is set to take the time slot of Williams’ long 13-year running talk show.

Shepherd’s acceptance of the show prompted many Hollywood names such as Nick Cannon to back Williams.

Although Williams’ talk show was canceled, she and her team have been working to give fans an epic return with her new podcast, “The Wendy Experience.”
