‘Just Left Tamera Completely Out’: Tia Mowry Recreates ‘Sister, Sister’ Intro and Fans Bring Up Tamera Mowry’s Absence

For Tia Mowry’s social media followers, there’s rarely a dull moment on the internet.

As many may know, the veteran actress rose to fame in the mid-’90s thanks to her role as Tia Landry in the hit sitcom “Sister, Sister,” opposite her twin sister Tamera Mowry. On Thursday, Sept. 1, the 44-year-old took to her Instagram page, where she recreated the intro. However, her co-star was missing.

In the clip, which featured the iconic intro music performed by the sister duo, Tia could be seen doing various activities around the house, including watering her plants, eating, playing ball, and even hearing a secret from her daughter, Cairo, with each representing a different character on the show all played by the actress.

Tia captioned the post, “This Sister Sister intro looks different,” before asking her 10.8 million followers, “What was your favorite 90s sitcom?”

The star’s post was hilarious because she portrayed every character in her make-believe sitcom. It wasn’t long before fans pointed out her sister’s absence, including one Instagram user who commented, “Lmfaoo just Tamera completely out. Okay Tia, I’d watch though.”

Another person wrote, “I was waiting for her twin to pop in lol I had to watch it twice .. I thought I missed her lol.” I wasn’t the only one looking for Tamera,” commented a third person.

It wasn’t long before requests for a “Sister Sister” reboot began to resurface, including one viewer who expressed, “I think that would be a great idea to recreate Sister and make it an adult version on BET+.” They added, “Y’all have kids married and facing everyday life together as adult ‘Twin Sisters.’ It’s time to start bringing back the sitcoms and reintroducing our youth to positive backgrounds and healthy methods to cope with life. Raw entertainment. ”

However, in February 2020, Tia stopped by the “Tamron Hall” show, where she revealed that efforts to bring back the beloved were unsuccessful, telling host Hall, “So many people are asking this question. We tried to do it, but some rights and stuff kind of got in the way and that makes me sad.”
