‘They Trying to Force This Song on Us’: Ciara’s ‘Jump’ with Celebrity Friends Is a Miss with Fans

Ciara returned to the music arena this month by dropping a new dance single, “Jump” featuring Coast Contra. This track comes three years after the singer released her seventh studio album, “Beauty Marks.” “Beauty Marks” also spawned the hit song “Level Up.”

Since Ciara’s “Jump” release, the 36-year-old has found creative ways to promote the tune, from an electrifying official music video to having close friends and family participate in a social media challenge featuring the song’s chorus.

In an Instagram post shared on July 19, Ciara recruited her celebrity friends, including La La Anthony, Vanessa and Natalia Bryant, Kim Kardashian, rapper Latto, J. Balvin, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to help boost the track’s appeal. The clip, which starts off with Ciara, showcased the individuals singing or dancing along to “Jump.”

As the video transitioned, each person was seen mouthing the words, “You like it when I make that thang jump. You go wow when I make that thang jump. It get loud when I make that thang jump. It’s a party when I make that thang jump, jump. You like it when I make that thang jump. You go wow when I make that thang jump. It get loud when I make that thang jump. It’s a party when I make that thang jump, jump, jump.”

In addition to the video, Ciara captioned the post, “It’s A Party!! #JUMP!” As Ciara’s upload circulated online, many expressed that the mother of three missed the mark with “Jump” and that heavy promotion can’t save the single.

“She trying to make this “s–t jump “ and it’s not lol. Love ya cici but no.”

“They trying to force this song on us.. not happening.”

“She want this song to go viral so bad… poor lil tink tink… cute tho.”

“This isn’t going to make us like the song Cici…”

“Song is still trash! No matter how many famous friends she have! It’s still a no.”

Among the previous remarks, others mentioned that Ciara’s “best music” occurred when she collaborated with producer Jazze Pha. One wrote, “Where Jazze Pha?!?! She needs you.” Another said, “Ciara’s best music was with Jazze Pha.” A third user said, “Ima need another Jazze Phizzle Producshizzle cause (sad face emoji).”

Ciara and Jazze Pha worked on her first two studio albums, including “Goodies” and “Ciara: The Evolution.”
