Ten-year-old Blue Ivy Carter, the oldest child of Beyoncé, had her mom’s fans fawning over her dance moves after the singer’s mother, Tina Knowles, shared a video of the mother-daughter duo twinning on Instagram.
In a side-by-side video, the “Halo” singer is seen dancing as a child on the left side of the screen while Carter is seen recreating her mom’s dance moves 30 years later on the right.

The video was captioned, “Young bey and blue twinning. I’m telling y’all Beyoncé gave birth to herself.”
Knowles also captioned the post on Instagram, “The same dance move from 30 years ago! Blue Blue killing it on the Oscars,” she wrote followed by a heart emoji. Carter was a dancer during the 2022 Academy Awards as part of her mother’s 2022 performance to “Be Alive,” a song from the film “King Richard.”
Fans quickly reacted to the twinning video in the comments section, and several agreed with Knowles‘ statement that the singer gave birth to herself.
“Omg I missed the Oscars and seeing Blue perform. Amazing yes Beyoncé gave birth to herself,” replied one fan. Another fan quipped, “Lil bey and lil jay.”
One fan agreed that the mother-and-daughter duo were twinning and replied, “So TRUE!! She Got Her Moves!!”
“Definitely reincarnated,” added another fan. “They are twins!” One fan couldn’t tell the two apart and asked, “Which is which? Is Blue on the right?”
“Her little mini-me daughters are so much fun,” added another fan.
One fan thought Carter had improved on her mother’s skills and danced a little better, no doubt with the help of her mom. “Blue ivy did it better,” wrote one fan. “Blue ate and left no crumbs,” noted another. “Blue looks just like her mother and has her interest in music and performing already! It’s amazing,” added another fan. One fan also noted the obvious. “She got it from her Mama!!!”
Many people were unaware that Carter performed during the 2022 Academy Awards ceremony. Beyoncé performed the Oscar-nominated “Be Alive” song as her daughter danced flawlessly with a group of singers and dancers in a choreographed routine during the live performance.
