Sometimes the best way to deal with an online troll is to like the post and keep it going, because that’s exactly what Nicki Minaj did when British television personality Piers Morgan randomly reignited their feud as part of a promotion video for his upcoming show “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”
“Nicki Minaj, without any a shadow of a doubt and without any fear of contradiction, was the rudest little madam I’ve ever had the displeasure to meet,” the former “Good Morning Britain” co-host stated in a video posted to his social media platform before recalling the moment.
“America’s Got Talent around 2006-7, she turned up as our guest on our show, and my sons were all quite young, all under 12, I think, all wanted to meet Nicki Minaj. Nope. Refused to do it. Rude little madam,” He continued, “Never coming on my show again. You’re banned.”
The Twitter page where the clip was posted, “The rudest little madam I’ve ever had the displeasure to meet…” and “Piers gives his uncensored verdict on Nicki Minaj. Find out why she’s BANNED from the show,” before tagging both stars.
The “Seeing Green” emcee didn’t respond to Morgan’s post directly. However, she did like a few posts from fans who felt they needed to defend their rap queen, many of whom pointed out the holes in Morgan’s story, including one Twitter user who wrote, “In 2006 – 2007, Nicki Minaj was selling mixtapes out the back of her trunk in the slums of Queen, New York.” They continued, “So how was she able to go on America’s Got Talent?” before adding, “Just lying.”
Another person echoed those sentiments, writing, “Nicki Minaj was still an underground artist selling mixtapes in 2006/2007! She wasn’t even widely known then so how would she have come on your show to do this? Like you just made this up! Lying right through those thin lips of yours in Broad daylight a damn shame. Stop lying fr.”
“Whoever wrote that script got you looking so stooopid,” commented a third person.
Nicki and Morgan’s history dates back to 2021 after the rapper caught heat for her COVID remarks. Morgan did not miss the opportunity to jump on the online bandwagon calling her “one of the rudest little madams I’ve ever met.” Nicki liked the name so much that she made it her username for some time.
