‘Y’all Keep Brother Franklin In Y’all Prayers!’: Meagan Good’s Swimwear Photo Shoot Left Fans ‘Drooling’ Over Her Tight Physique

Meagan Good‘s post-breakup glow has been a trending topic recently, and following the 40-year-old’s collaboration with swimwear company Matte Collection shared on March 23, those remarks failed to cease.

Good is currently undergoing divorce proceedings with her estranged husband: pastor and producer DeVon Franklin. The former couple, married since 2012, announced their split after nine years of marriage by sharing a joint statement to People magazine last December. Good and Franklin later revealed the news on their respective social media accounts.

In the Instagram post, the “Harlem” star is seen modeling a range of bikinis and cut-out one-piece swimsuits. During her photo shoot, which took place in Malibu, California, Good described Matte Collection’s Havana Heat line as “spicy.”

Also, in the video, Good mentioned the types of designs she likes to sport when it comes to her swimwear. She said, “So do I prefer print or solids. I’m going to have to go with solids.” The actress wrapped up the recording by saying although she prefers to wear bikinis regularly, she will possibly switch to the one-piece cut-out swimsuits.

In addition to the upload, Good shared the caption, Check Out @MATTECOLLECTION Havana Heat Collection Featuring-Me.” As fans viewed the actress’ post, many flooded her comments section with remarks regarding her divorce and her soon-to-be ex-husband.

“You been lit since that divorce.”

“You being single is the best thing to happen to IG!!”

“Whew that after divorce glow is something special!”

“Someone’s ex husband punching the air right now.”

“Y’all keep Brother Franklin in y’all prayers!!”

Among the divorce and Franklin comments, others expressed their admiration for Good’s looks. One wrote, “Drooling lol, so Gorg literally the sun loves you.” Another said, “Omg, why did I just watch this like a million times!!! Very caliente!!”

A third person stated,”Literally EVERY swimsuit was giving bawdyyyy.”

Still independent.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
