‘The Vindication and Glow Up’: Jordyn Woods Trends After Khloé Kardashian Says It’s ‘Hurtful’ for Women to be Blamed for Men Cheating

Socialite and influencer Jordyn Woods is in the headlines again, and, to no one’s surprise, it’s because of a Kardashian.

The former bestie with Kylie Jenner, the youngest sister of Kim, Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian, fell out of grace with the family when she was caught up in a cheating scandal with one of the sister’s boyfriends and the father of that sister’s child.

In 2018, Woods became a trending topic because she was caught being inappropriate with Khloé Kardashian’s boo, Tristan Thompson, at a party, where the two admitted to kissing.

At the time, a hurt and angry Khloé used her platform as one of the first members of one of pop culture’s most-watched families to bash Woods, calling her a liar, a traitor, and saying that she “broke up” the family that she and Thompson were building.

In reality, though she did kiss her friend’s man, Woods didn’t break up the family, Khloé would later admit. But by that time, after she had taken to social media, dragged her in the press, and even on their hit show “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” a scarlet letter had been tattooed across Woods’ face.

Kardashian tweeted in March 2019, “Why are you lying @jordynwoods ?? If you’re going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!”

Also, on one episode of the show, Kardashian explodes on the show about Woods, “F#ck these hoes … and I’m done.”

“I don’t want to act like that but I want people to be f#cking afraid,” she said, to mess with Thompson, she told her sister.

“To f#cking Kylie’s f#cking best friend who’s sat on a gold f#cking sh#tting throne,” she yelled. “Like, this sh#t is so f#cking whack that these f#cking b#tches think they can go ahead and f#ck our men.”

In the same season, the taunting was so out of hand, Jenner had to speak to her sisters about the bullying.

Almost four years and a Jada Pinkett Smith “Red Table Talk” episode later, Woods and Khloé Kardashian are back in the news — linked to the same drama.

The 37-year-old is featured with her sisters and mother in a cover story for Variety magazine as a part of the promo package to help launch her family’s new reality series on Hulu, “The Kardashians.” During the interview, she spoke on cheating partners and said, “If your significant other is doing something wrong, for the woman to be blamed, that’s always been really hurtful for me. I’ve never quite understood that.”

She mentioned that she has regret about talking about her relationships and her partners cheating on her on TV, but because it is her life those intimate conversations made and will continue to make the final edits of the shows.

“I wish I never had to talk about that because it’s not a fun thing to talk about,” Khloé Kardashian said. “But it is part of my journey in life, so we will see it on the show.”

Later in the interview, while talking about the public embarrassment she experienced because of her partner’s philandering ways, she said, “It will be addressed on the show. We try as a family to protect the privacy of our partners or significant others since they didn’t really sign up for this; we did.”

She continued, “But if something is really public like this was, it would be strange if Tristan was a part of the show and then all of a sudden he disappears and we don’t ever talk about it.” She added that it is a necessary burden of the show. “Viewers will almost feel slighted like we aren’t sharing things and it’s not as real. So yes, we do address it.”

Fans seemed to catch the shade and took to Twitter to blast her for what they describe as hypocrisy of playing the victim.

Twitter user Melanin Gawd 2 wrote, “I find it so hilarious when People say but Jordyn Woods was a family friend. So Blac Chyna, Trina, Lauren London, s–t Khloe took Tristian from Larissa Pippen. So what are all those women? Are they nobody because they are black(besides Larissa) women who y’all deem as what? Quick.”

“It was totally fine for her to crush Jordyn woods but hurtful if anyone else does it. celebs love their do as I say not as I do preaching moment,” Madi posted.

Nathan tweeted, “soooo we are just gonna act like you didn’t try to ruin jordyn woods’ whole life over something YOUR man did????”

But some of the posts that were trending celebrated Woods for moving forward with her own post-Kardashian life.

“The vindication and glow up Jordyn Woods has had over the last couple of years makes me so proud,” one person shared.

An example of what fans consider to be vindication: when Tristan took to Instagram earlier this year to admit that he fathered a child while dating Kardashian and then apologizing to her for his actions, proving, in fans’ eyes, that Woods didn’t break up the family at all; she just was the scapegoat.
