Idris Elba fans were all smiles over a romantic moment he shared with his model wife, Sabrina Dhowre Elba, for Valentine’s Day on Feb. 14.
In an Instagram video, the Elbas playfully keep each other warm in a heated pool in what appears to be an exotic location. The 49-year-old actor wrote, “Happy Valentine’s Day” in the caption.
After the Neighborhood Talk reshared the video, social media fans began gushing over the sexy couple’s intimate moment.
“She really living my dream up in my face,” wrote one person in the comments, while another said, “She’s a lucky girl cause that man is fine.”
A third joked, “This is all K. Michelle wanted.”
The Elbas’ hot and steamy video had fans bringing up Elba’s short-lived romance with R&B singer K. Michelle. The pair met at the Soul Train Music Awards in 2013, after she won Best New Artist.

As previously reported, K. Michelle was eager to share details about her relationship with Elba during a 2018 interview with Hollywood Unlocked. She called him a “gentleman” and admitted, “that wasn’t supposed to be my man. He told me, he would never be committed to one woman,” K. told host Jason Lee on Tuesday, Aug. 7. “He said I would be taken care of, I would be fine but he would never commit to one woman.”
She said, “I’m like, ‘Damn, b—-, you had some s— I didn’t have! You had some sauce. You know men are different with different women.”
Later, Elba chose to commit to Sabrina Dhowre Elba. After dating for one year, the pair sent social media into a frenzy after announcing their engagement in 2018. The couple wed in Morroco in April 2019.
The Elbas opened up about their relationship during their Audible podcast “Coupledom with Idris and Sabrina Elba.”
“Idris is my best friend,” said the model. “I want to be around this guy every day of my life, so it’s really great to be able to see what that morphs into.”
Elba added, “I’d say we’re in a good place. It was a challenging year, but ultimately, when you look to the side, and you’ve got someone that’s been there, ride or die, that’s really comforting.”
