Tanya Sam revealed on Feb. 28 during the latest episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” that she was sleeping in Porsha Williams’ room the night the alleged ménage à trois allegedly occurred between her, Williams, and the male stripper BOLO, the entertainer following Cynthia Bailey‘s bachelorette party.
During the final dinner, as the “RHOA” ladies — including Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, Shamea Morton, Kandi Burruss, Drew Sidora, Latoya Ali, and Marlo Hampton — reminisced over the previous night’s festivities, the strippergate conversation gets brought up by Ali. The YouTuber accused Sidora of being involved with BOLO, something the “Step Up” actress denied after Moore said, “Are we saying that it was Drew?”
Sidora clapped back by asking the former beauty queen did she have some regrets at the party. “Are you having some regrets or feeling guilty about something. Cause your legs were busted wide open.. While you’re trying to figure out everybody else and what they were doing.”
Following that statement, Moore admitted that she started the investigation only because she wanted to. When Bailey asked if anyone besides Moore heard the suspicious noises, everyone at the table said no.
Moore further explained, “It seemed as though it was multiple people in a room, and I stood there because I’m like I don’t know what I’m hearing, and am I really hearing what I’m hearing.” Sam retorted by saying Moore thought she heard sex noises because the 50-year-old hasn’t been intimate with anyone for “a really long time” following her separation from estranged husband Marc Daly.
As Sam and Moore went back and forth, Williams bashed the Kenya Moore Hair Care creator in a confessional for trying to slut-shame the parties involved. She said, “What kind of person has a good time with friends, then all of a sudden the next day, you wanna make everybody out to be these whores, and the whole negative thing. … Like, girl, just shut up.”
Marlo Hampton then jumped in and asked whose room the sounds were coming from. Moore explained that the moaning noises came from the part of the house where Williams and co-star Kandi Burruss’ room was located. “Well, it wasn’t Kandi’s room, and it was coming from that side of the house. It wasn’t Kandi. ’Cause Kandi was in her room snoring.”
Williams, who felt she was being outed as the culprit, said, “So you talking about me.”
Moore declared she didn’t “point any fingers at anyone” and reiterated that she heard sounds coming from that direction when Sam disclosed while trying to defend her best friend Williams that the two girls spent the night together in her “Dish Nation” co-host’s room. Sam said, “All I know is that I spent the night in this girl’s [while gesturing at Porsha Williams] room.”
Once the secret was out, Moore confirmed her investigation was officially closed by saying, “I know Porsha’s voice. I know it was her in the room, and Tanya admitted to being in the room with Porsha. Case closed.”
Many fans expressed how dumb Sam was to out herself when no one accused her of being involved in the alleged tryst. One person wrote, “Now why did Tanya just bait herself out like that #RHOA.”
A user mentioned how Sam’s point backfired. “Tanya tried to make a point and outed herself in the process #RHOA.”
Another said, “Tanya keeps putting herself into this situation then gets mad that people are saying she was involved. What is wrong with her? #RHOA”
A Twitter user pointed out that Sam was never accused by anyone until she told on herself. “Tanya, girl.. Kenya didn’t even breathe your name so why would you tell on yourself like that?? My ass would’ve stayed uncharacteristically & categorically quiet. #RHOA.”
Later in the scene, Moore revealed the real reason why she continued with the investigation was because the setting of the alleged encounter was inappropriate. “I just think that if there was something like that happening, it’s very disgusting, and if those things happen, then maybe just think about doing it at your home because I am here along with my daughter.”
Last year, Sam reportedly quit “RHOA” following the strippergate scandal that accused her, Williams, and BOLO, the entertainer, of being the participants in the alleged threesome. Both BOLO and Sam has since denied those accusations.
In an Instagram post in October, Sam said, “I will address this topic now and will not entertain this absurdity any further. The rumor circulating about me is NOT TRUE.”
