B.Simone is going viral with some people having her back and others not so much after she made comments aimed at women who want to manifest love. B.Simone is a big advocate of manifestation, as that is part of what her brand is all about so it is no surprise that on Valentine’s Day she used her craft to try to help other women manifest good partners.
“We’re manifesting love, but here’s a little challenge,” she said at the 00:34 mark of the video, before popping her lips. “We got all these things we want in a man. A list of things. He got to be tall, he got to be dark, he got to be handsome, he got to have pretty teeth, he got to be a family man, he got to be financially stable, he got to be rich, he got to be successful, he got to be all these things and we ain’t even half the things on that list.”
She continued, “he got to be a family man, b—h you ain’t talk to your mama in six months, but you want him to be a family man. He got to be financially stable; your account is in the negative ma’am — overdraft fees. He got to have a job, you need to go fill out some applications because you’re still unemployed, he got to have pretty teeth, you ain’t seen a dentist in six years. He got to have a six-pack and be in shape; you can’t even walk up a flight of stairs without huffing and puffing. Get your life together.”
The comedian went on to provide ladies with her solution for the problem. She told them to write down the qualities of their dream guy and then write down what type of woman that man would need. She then challenged the women to “become the person we want to attract.”
Some viewers of the video were not feeling the message.
One said, “She had a boyfriend for 3 days and 2 hours now and she wanna tell everybody else how to manifest love. Girl I- 🤦🏽♀️,” referring to the recent news that B. Simone is currently dating NFL player Chris Smith, who plays defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders. Someone else wrote, “How bout everyone just worry about themselves.. manifest that.”
Others came to her defense, with one person saying, “She didn’t say anything wrong, but some people will rather miss the message just because they don’t like the messenger.” She even received some support from R&B singer Tank who said, “Well said..🙌🏾.” Actor and singer Tyrese Gibson reposted the video and wrote, “Women are pissed? calling her a fraud? But why?????? Dear @thebsimone I’m going to hire you as soon as I can…… Promise #RawTruthHurts.”
Many people have not forgiven Simone when she tried to defend her silence after George Floyd was murdered by police. Her statements prompted people to “cancel” her, and it did not help when she later started trending for allegedly plagiarizing her manifestation book and telling fans she would not date a man with a 9-to-5 job.
