‘Growth’: Keyshia Ka’Oir Shares Message of Support After Hubby Gucci Mane’s Tense Verzuz Battle Against Jeezy

Gucci Mane‘s wife Keyshia Ka’Oir wants the world to know how proud she is of her man for participating in a Verzuz battle against known nemesis Jeezy on Thursday, Nov. 19.

The series of social media concerts have been friendly competitions, more akin to celebrations, of artists of similar caliber who have at least 20 hits to toss back and forth. The Jeezy versus Gucci battle felt different from the beginning, however, due to the complicated history the two share.

The tension leading up to and during most of the battle was thick enough to cut with a knife, with Gucci not holding back at throwing jabs at Jeezy on social media and live at Magic City, while “The Snowman” did his best to remain level-headed throughout.

The two rappers did end up calling a truce at the end of the night, however, coming together to perform their hit single “So Icy,” the song that started their infamous beef, and Mrs. Radric Davis (Gucci’s real name) was in full support of her husband taking the high road.

“I’m definitely proud of u hubby!,” she gushed in an Instagram post. “It took a lot of forgiveness, healing & courage to get up there in front of the world! Everyone knows your history & now u have closure & can move on! It wasn’t easy but u did it & for that I AM PROUD OF U! F**K WHO AINT!”

Fans were happy to see the two appear to move forward from their troubled past, and gave Ka’Oir her props for standing behind her man as well.

“This caption is everything! Time heals and I’m sooo glad they were able get the closure they both needed! Yesss Mrs. Davis, well said”

“And it’s good he have u in his corner keyshia held dat man down through it all nothing but respect💯”

“🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 It’s the growth for me”

“Facts you most definitely represent for your husband love it🥰”

Not every fan agreed that the competition signaled that Gucci and Jeezy have truly moved past their beef, with a fan commenting, “We must was watching different things.”

The Atlanta rappers both agreed that they did it “for the culture” in separate posts; time will tell whether that olive branch acceptance was real.
