Reginae Carter attended her bestie Zonnique Pullins‘ baby shower and the pair reunited with their former OMG Girlz members under a new moniker, “Auntie Squad.”
The OMG Girlz formed in 2009 and disbanded in 2015. In addition to Carter and the mommy-to-be, group members Bahja Rodriguez, Lourdes Rodriguez and Breaunna Womack stopped by the gorgeous Enchanted Forest-themed soiree to show support for Zonnique as she prepares to welcome her baby girl into the world. The friends posed for a photo together looking all grown up and excited to celebrate their “niece’s” arrival.
Pullins has been slaying her pregnancy every step of the way, but admitted that she wasn’t planning on becoming a mother so soon. Now that it’s happening, however, she’s committed to being the best mom she can. “I always said, like you know, I don’t really want kids anytime soon, so it was kind of just like a thing that came on me,” Zonnique told Atlanta Black Star during an interview. “I prayed, I just felt like if this is the plan, if this is what God wants for me to do, I wanna do it, and I’m going to try my best at it.”
While she hasn’t been thrilled about having to deal with the speed bumps that pregnancy during COVID-19 life brings, overall she admits she’s “been feeling well. I have to go to my doctor alone. I can’t even take Izzy with me, and you know that’s definitely different for it being my first time,” she said. “I wish it could be different. But other than that, you know, I’ve been feeling well. I’ve never got morning sickness and things like that, so really that’s all I can pray for is a healthy pregnancy.”

The baby will be Zonnique and boyfriend Israel “Bandhunta Izzy” James’ first child together. Izzy is also father to two other children, making their bundle of joy his third.
