Wendy Williams Defends Her Behavior on the Show After Fans and Former Longtime DJ Comment About It

Wendy Williams seemingly is addressing concerns from her fans about her behavior on her show, “The Wendy Williams Show,” on Friday, Oct. 23. On Monday, she took some time on her show to talk directly to fans.

“I love entertaining you, you know, and it’s not easy,” said Williams. “It’s not easy. You’re a tough crowd.” She continued, “I come here every day and I try to do the best that I can for you. I appreciate you watching, but even after all of these years, it’s still work and effort put in for the hour that I’m out here with you, you know? I guess every day is not perfect, but I’m not a perfectionist. I’m not perfect.”

Even Williams’ former longtime DJ, DJ Boof, claims that the truth behind Williams’ peculiar behavior on last Friday’s episode is all going to “come out.”

Fans of Williams shared their concerns for her after the talk show host seemed to be off on her Oct. 23 taping. Throughout the episode, Williams was blinking and talking slowly. There were also long pauses in her speech and her eyes appeared to be wider than normal. She even mistakenly called singer Adele “Ho-dele.”

Viewers of the show expressed their worries for the 56 year old on social media.

One person wrote, “Who let #WendyWilliams on the air in that condition today?”

Another tweeted, “Lots of people tweeting about #WendyWilliams on her show today. They tape Friday shows on Thursday. And yesterday she was also very “off.” I’ve been a fan for nearly 20 years. It is so hard to watch. Norman trying to help co-host almost. I hope someone helps her.”

On Instagram, someone else said, “Wendy you need to stop your show and seriously get help, your camp is just watching you spiral instead of sending help shame on them. Ill be boycotting the show until you get checked in to REHAB. Drugs will kill you please get help.”

Another typed, “she don’t listen to them..probably why DJ Bouf left the show..”

DJ Boof found his way to the comments to reply, “yup exactly and it will all come out.. Y’all have no idea what’s really going on and everyone there is afraid to speak up because they don’t wanna lose their jobs.. this is going to play out bad.. I feel sorry for the workers and victims. Have a blessed day.”

It’s not clear on who or what DJ Boof meant when he said “victims.”

Last month it was announced that Williams replaced DJ Boof with DJ Suss One after DJ Suss One posted a photo on Instagram on Sept. 21 that shows him sitting in the studio audience of Wendy’s show.

For the caption he wrote, “Breaking News. I’m spinning on the @wendyshow every weekday Monday thru Friday starting today. Season 12.”

A day after DJ Suss One’s announcement, DJ Boof went on his Instagram Live to respond to the allegations that he had been fired. After explaining that he had no knowledge of the firing, he went on to threaten to expose Williams’ “coffee.”

He started the Live saying, “God don’t like ugly. This little DJ is powerful. I didn’t know I was this powerful. I didn’t know I had this much weight. I did not know the sort of people I know, the sort of handle I got.”

He later responded to a comment in the Live saying, “I don’t got the juice, I don’t got the tea, I got the f-cking coffee.”

Neither DJ Boof nor Williams have explained the reason behind why he was replaced.
