Ashanti is celebrating the big 4-0 this year, and, boy, does she look amazing!
The R&B icon turned 40 years old on Tuesday, Oct. 13, and of course she celebrated her birthday in epic fashion with a series of Instagram pics.
“Pre Bday week 🎉🎉🎉we on the way 🥳,” was her simple Instagram caption along with the hashtag “#shanbdayweek.”
Ashanti posed with her family and friends in front of what appeared to be a charter jet, and judging from her past birthday photos, it was inevitable that she would wind up vacationing somewhere tropical. The “Foolish” singer also took a stunning solo picture. She wore a cropped tracksuit set with Louis Vuitton sneakers and black and white shades to match her fit.
While posing on the airstair of the jet, the multifaceted singer held up a set of birthday balloons. She smiled at the camera and showed off her washboard abs, racking up over 52,000 likes within hours of uploading the photos.
In a separate post of a gif of confetti surrounding her as she sat in the interior of what presumably was the same jet, Ashanti penned, “Reflecting on the blessings ♎️♎️♎️🥳”
Fans raved over how gorgeous the songstress looked and sent sweet birthday wishes her way.

Ashanti earlier revealed she was vacationing in Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, for her birthday week.
Last year, the R&B crooner celebrated her special day with a sexy bikini pic, while she was on a yacht in the Florida Keys. Smiling from ear to ear with her loved ones around her, Ashanti wrote, “Feeling incredibly blessed to see another amazing year. So happy to have new people & new energy in my life.. I’m also thankful for the blessings of the lessons from the ones that exited… Im so grateful for my family & friends… I realize how sacred it is to have genuine people around you to love & support you.”
