Trina recently celebrated her late mother Vernessa Taylor with a deeply felt post.
The “B R Right” rapper lost her mom a year ago to cancer and appears to still be grieving her death. On Friday, Sept. 4, she took to Instagram with a series of photos of her mother and videos that showed her and her loved ones celebrating Taylor’s memory. One image showed her mother’s picture plastered on a truck with the words “We miss you! Vernessa.”
Trina also shared a heartfelt message that expressed how much she misses her mother.
“A year later,, Still can’t find the words or process the feeling inside that hurts so bad knowing you’re not here with me,” the Miami native penned. “I miss you everyday. I talk to you everyday. I call your phone still hoping you .. nvm. I love you Mommy and I can feel you with me everywhere I go. Completely heartbroken and missing you every second 🧡🥺😔.”
Followers were touched by the “Love and Hip Hop: Miami” star’s post and sent her well wishes.

Several fans also called the “Baddest Chick” her mother’s “twin.”
Trina’s mother passed away at age on Sept. 3, 2019, after a long battle with breast cancer.
A rep for the musician released a statement to ET at the time.
“Thank you all for your kind words and condolences regarding Trina’s mother. It truly gives the family some peace and comfort knowing that ‘Nessa’ lived such a fulfilling life filled with love and abundance.”
The statement also pointed out the strong bond shared between Trina and her mother, saying that loved ones were making efforts to keep Trina grounded and “in good spirits” as she was “doing as to be expected.”
Trina is still clearly mourning the loss of her mother. In a June 2019 post, she shared a picture of Taylor and deemed her late mother her “everything.” She wrote, “My entire world … my strength, my weakness, my reason for never giving up, my peace, my joy, my EVERYTHING… 🧡 #TheOne 6/21 💎 #momma.”
