‘I Hate It!’: Yandy Smith Says Homeschooling Is Taking Her Out, Checks on Moms and Dads of America

Yandy Smith is just about ready to throw the whole school year away.

The reality TV star has added teacher, lunch lady, nurse, and janitor to her resume now that her baby girl Skylar Harris is homeschooling in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The school year only began a few weeks ago, but Smith admits she’s already ready to throw in the towel.

“Don’t let this lil innocent face fool you,” Yandy warned in an Instagram post on Wednesday, Sept. 2. “Homeschooling got me ready to poke my eyes out with each of her beads. 🥵👿 America you failed our babies on this one for real!!! I’m certainly not prepared for this but I gotta do what I gotta do…how you mom and dads doing out there?”

Fellow parents 100 percent feel Yandy’s pain and joined her in the comments to commiserate about how much they’re ready to leave the teaching to the teachers.

“Yeah mines in Kindergarten I’m over it she’s over it. 🤣😂 she might just have to get her GED cause mama can’t 😩,” wrote one defeated parent.

“We are STRUGGLING!!!!! 😩😩” a second admitted. “On my 4th mimosa of the day. 3 kids, 3 different grades and just one me. God help us all.”

“My child gone fail the second grade 😫😫 #help #lol,” admitted a third.

“Looking for a substitute 🤣😂,” joked a fourth.

“It’s not easy at all. I hate it! 😢😢,” a fifth stated.

Little Skylar has been adjusting to the new way of life in the time of the coronavirus. Earlier this summer she celebrated her kindergarten graduation from home during a virtual ceremony.

The milestone was one of the first her father Mendeecees Harris was able to attend in person since his January prison release, and he promised his baby girl that he’ll “be there every step of the way.”
