Lil Scrappy and Bambi are parents who’ve seemingly made the decision to shield their new baby from social media.
The “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” couple welcomed their daughter Xylo nearly three weeks ago and have shared photos of their new bundle of joy — but none include her face.
Lil Scrappy hopped over to Instagram on Tuesday, Aug. 18, and posted a sweet photo of himself and his three children. The family snap showed Scrappy’s son Breland, 1, lying on his chest, as the father of three held baby Xylo in his left arm. The rapper’s oldest daughter Emani Richardson, 15, sat by his side and seemingly kissed her little sister on the head. Baby Xylo’s face was covered by the teen’s cellphone.
Scrappy shared a sweet message alongside the post and penned, “This is where my energy goes and it also restores me , just to Knw God has blessed me with these 3 and I myself receive the blessings and will show God how much I appreciate his blessings and favor on me and my family.”
While Scrappy’s message was soul-stirring, upset fans turned their attention to baby Xylo’s face being hidden.
“She posted her whole pregnancy now she wanna hide the baby faces i be so confused. We wanna see our cousin lol,” one person commented on the post.
Another person agreed with the first IG user and added, “And when they had the 1st they showed him right away. .. but hey to each its own Right.”
Bambi jumped into her husband’s comment section and clap backed at detractors’ remarks. She slapped down the statement about showing baby Breland to the public when he was first born and responded, “Nah. We didn’t. But like you said … that’s none of your business. Imagine being worried about someone else’s baby. Weird.”
Scrappy and Bambi’s supporters also jumped to their defense.
“No they didn’t show him right away you’re too invested in these celebrities liives like do you have a life,” one fan noted. A second one added, “They not obligated to show their kids. Fall back.”
Scrappy and Bambi welcomed baby Xylo on Aug. 3, nearly two years after having their son Breland in September 2018. The Atlanta rapper’s daughter Emani is from a previous relationship.
Bambi and Scrappy seem excited about being new parents again. Following his wife’s recent delivery, Scrappy wrote via Instagram, “We are blessed and I’m thanking God he blessed us with a healthy baby.”
