“Basketball Wives” star Jennifer Williams is one of many people reacting to the shocking murder-for-hire arrest of former reality star Tim Norman — who also happens to be Williams’s ex.
Williams reacted to the stunning news in a series of tweets posted late Thursday night on Aug. 18. “Thank you God for your grace, mercy and favor,” the reality star wrote. She then posted a follow-up tweet saying, “Condolences to the family, I can’t imagine this how this dose of truth is hitting.” In an InstaStory on Tuesday, Williams also stated, “Karma will get you one way or another. The truth always reveals itself.”
Norman, who appeared on the OWN reality series “Welcome To Sweetie Pies,” was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 18, on charges relating to the 2016 murder-for-hire killing in St. Louis, Missouri, of his nephew, 18-year-old Andre Montgomery. Authorities arrested Norman in Jackson, Mississippi, his current residence.
“Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s,” documented Norman, 41, and his family’s soul food restaurants, with the St. Louis location of Sweetie Pie’s being run by his mom, Robbie Montgomery. The show ended in June 2018 after five seasons. Norman was charged with conspiracy to use interstate commerce facilities, in this case, a cell phone, in the commission of a murder-for-hire, resulting in death, WAPT reports.
Williams and Norman dated for a little over a year until 2017 when the “BBW” star accused Norman of stalking and harassment. In an interview at the time with Bossip, the 45-year-old Williams told the outlet, “I feel like I’m in a Lifetime movie.” She added, “I have not been with him for three months, he’s been blocked from BOTH of my phones, all of my social media. I’ve moved on in another relationship and been living my life in L.A. At one point he did have a set of keys to my place, so I was like, did he get a copy of my key made? Is he going to my house? I turned around, I see him parked by the side of the road. He followed me, so I dipped off and went to my friend’s house.”
In June 2018, Williams requested that a temporary restraining order that she had against Norman be made permanent. However, a judge denied her application. At the time, Williams told her friend Kristen Scott during an episode of the reality show that she was still afraid of her ex. “It’s taking a toll on me. It’s really wearing me down. I haven’t been sleeping well, my mind is like, all over the place,” the star expressed. “I’m nervous. I still don’t want to walk my dog after dark … I just need to date different guys.”
Williams and Norman’s relationship and court battles had played out in the public eye over the years, with both parties accusing one another of violence. Norman is currently being held at the Madison County Detention Center in Jackson, awaiting extradition to Missouri.
