Draya Michele is making a comeback to the genre that made her famous, but this time she’s doing it her way.
The former “Basketball Wives LA” star hasn’t been a cast member of another series since she left the show in 2015. Since then she’s focused on expanding her brand in areas of business, such as swimwear line Mint Swim and clothing lines Fine Ass Girls and Beige & Coco.
The 35-year-old entrepreneur is all set to make her return to the small screen, however, as the star and executive producer of a 10-part series titled “Doses of Draya.” The show will follow her life, including her business successes and failures.
In a statement, Draya announced that she’s teaming up with Zeus, a subscription streaming service, to give her fans a look inside her life.
“I’ve been on a pretty incredible journey over the past decade, and I’m grateful to my fans who have been with me through the ups and downs,” it reads. “As a woman of color, I couldn’t be more excited to be working with Zeus, a Black-owned streaming service, to share my story, and to let people into my daily life in a way I never really have before.”
Draya’s fans were thrilled to hear the news and welcomed her back to nonscripted television with wide-open arms in a since-deleted Instagram post on her page.
“😩😩 Now I gotta get Zeus,” wrote one of her followers.
“Yesss love to see it,” encouraged another.
“I am here for it and can’t wait to watch!! 🔥😍🔥😍🔥😍,” a third exclaimed.
“Keep working shorty! Big moves for a big bag!” a fourth remarked.
“Yes Boss Lady!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾,”applauded a fifth.
After Draya’s recent failed Megan Thee Stallion joke that allegedly got her booted from her gig as a Savage x Fenty brand ambassador, it’s great to see that sis is learning from her mistakes and keeping it moving.
