Rapper Da Brat is spilling all the tea about Tamar Braxton‘s alleged affair with music producer Michael Mauldin. Last week, K. Michelle accused Tamar of sleeping with Michael Mauldin, Jermaine Dupri‘s father, and claimed that Jermaine’s former stepmother beat up Tamar in an elevator as a result.
While some fans expressed the idea that the rumors were not true, Da Brat confirmed on “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show” that Tamar got into a physical altercation in an elevator. However, she shared that the fight was not between Tamar and Jermaine’s mother, but explained it was with another ex-wife of Jermaine’s father.
When asked if Jermaine’s mother and Tamar got into a fight on an elevator, Da Brat said at the 3:08 mark, “Nope..nope. Jermaine Dupri’s mamma is mamma Tina, so that did not happen.” Gary with da tea, said, “Well she [K. Michelle] didn’t call out no names. She just said the mamma.”
Da Brat said, “That-that’s not his mamma. That did happen. I happened to be in that elevator-but..” A radio show host asked, “Ohh did you Brat?” Da Brat responded, “I happened to be in that elevator. That whole Beyoncé thing, that definitely happened, OK.” She added, “But that ain’t Jermaine Dupri’s mamma… that’s Michael Mauldin’s ex- wife.” At the 4:01 mark, Da Brat said, “It was just a situation and..and..uh.. Michael Mauldin’s ex-wife was a little fed up… and it just went down in the elevator.”
The 46-year-old rapper is a long-time friend of Jermaine and explained in the interview that Tamar and Michael’s ex-wife got into their altercation at a music event. She expressed that the altercation took place a long time ago and implied that she immediately left the elevator as soon as the doors opened. “I exited the elevator stage left. I didn’t have nothing to do it with,” she said at the 4:30 mark.
Tamar and her boyfriend David Adefeso spoke out against K. Michelle’s accusations in a video on her YouTube channel. Tamar insinuated that she was not going to waste her time giving the gossip energy, while David expressed the idea that their feud made him sad and implied that people should not be tearing down others.
Tamar and K. Michelle recently started beefing again after Tamar implied in an interview with entertainer Ts Madison that she would not like to participate in a Verzuz battle with the “V.S.O.P” artist. K. Michelle also called the “Love and War” singer a muppet and a “cartoon character.” Tamar has yet to respond to Da Brat’s accusations.
