Age ain’t nothing but a number for legendary R&B songstress Ashanti. The 39-year-old left fans fawning over her Thursday Instagram post as she rocked a two-piece neon green shorts set.
Her crop sweater showcased her toned abs, and her shorts left her thighs and legs exposed. She paired the look with some Air Jordan 1 sneakers, gold hoops, a necklace, and dark shades.

The Grammy-award winning singer is no stranger to showing off her body on the ‘Gram, but she did pause those particular posts to bring awareness to the Black Lives Matter movement.
Over the last few weeks, the New York native posted images of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and many other African-Americans who’s lives were cut short due to hatred and police negligence. The singer even attended a protest in NYC and shared her experience with fans.
“The energy is just different,” Ashanti wrote in her Instagram caption.
“I’ve never protested before nor did I think I would ever have to…. we’ve seen the movies we’ve read the books. I come from a family devoted to making change. My grandfather James Davis walked alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in Montgomery Alabama in 1965, and here we are in 2020 fighting the same fight all over the world. The energy is shifting tho. It feels different this time. Enough is Enough. ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
