The OG Housewife posted a series of laughing emojis on her Twitter page, followed by a meme on Instagram that showed her cracking up. According to blogger B. Scott, Nene was allegedly not offered a contract for the upcoming season. Pickup letters reportedly went out to the ladies’ representatives on June 12. At the time, Nene supposedly did not receive her paperwork for season 13. Nene’s manager Steven Grossman revealed in a statement to HollywoodLife that the gossip was inaccurate.

“It is absolutely not true that Nene has been fired from “RHOA.” Furthermore, it was made abundantly clear prior that she will always be welcome on the series as long as she wants to be,” he said. “We are having on-going bigger picture conversations with NBC Universal and have not made any decisions regarding next season specifically. Any speculation or sources trying to create controversy by stating otherwise are incredibly inaccurate,” he added. At the end of the letter, he wrote: “Bloop,” in a reference to Nene’s famous catchphrase.

This is not the first time rumors swirled that claimed Nene was departing from the franchise. During the season 12 reunion, she left the Bravo special abruptly, and revealed in an Instagram post that she felt attacked by her castmates. Some people assumed that was Nene’s way of quitting the show. In 2015, the “Glee” actress left the hit reality show in season eight, but she returned as a full-time cast member in season 10.

Nene’s rumor report spread two days after her co-star Eva Marcille announced in a statement that she would not be returning to the franchise, explaining that she wanted to pursue other opportunities.
