Porsha Williams has proven time and time again that she knows a thing or two about wearing hair pieces. The cast member of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” owns more than 40 wigs and has openly talked about her “wig room” on previous episodes of her hit reality show. Porsha, however, recently surprised fans when she ditched the hair extensions and posted a video on Instagram that showed her modeling her natural hair.
The 38-year-old television personality sported cornrows with laid and slayed baby hairs. She wore pink eye shadow, subtle blush, and dark brown lipstick. Donning a white camisole and large gold earrings, the mother of one tilted her head toward the camera to flaunt her neatly styled braids. Porsha owns a hair company and was at her business photo shoot during the time the video was recorded. She explained in her caption the reason behind her braids, sharing that she was waiting for her wig to get styled before she took her professional photos.
One IG user suggested that Porsha looked good without her hair extensions. “Now you know you fine if you pretty with no hair😍,” she wrote. A second fan agreed, hinting that she should go weave-free. “Don’t need the hair!” he shouted. With over 600 comments and some 28,000 likes, it’s safe to assume that her fan base wanted her to abandon her fake hair.
A few people also expressed the idea that Porsha should rock her natural beauty more often. “You don’t need a wig to look beautiful,you are more beautiful in your own 😍,” one gushed, while others were focused on her glam. “💜💜💜 Yasss. Give us face!! True beauty.” Despite what people think, Porsha doesn’t seem like she will be putting aside her wigs anytime soon.
Porsha revealed in a 2018 interview with Allure that taking care of her wigs is a full-time job. She explained that her assistant is responsible for maintaining her glam room and pulling old wigs off the shelves that are in dire need of hair treatments.
