Trina Braxton hasn’t released a song in quite some time, but the “Braxton Family Values” reality star recently reminded fans that she can hit those high notes. On Thursday, June 4, Braxton posted an old video on Instagram that showed her singing with her sisters Towanda Braxton, Traci Braxton, and Tamar Braxton.
Towanda Braxton sported a white tank top, baseball cap, and blue jeans, while Trina Braxton donned an off-the-shoulder dress. Traci Braxton sported a black tank top and what appeared to be a pair of dress pants. In true Tamar fashion, the “Love and War” singer came through dripping in sunglasses and a layered blouse. In the video, the sisters were singing “The Lord’s Prayer” a cappella.
Throughout the video, the ladies were snapping their fingers to the sounds of their voices. Tamar Braxton, the youngest sister, gave her siblings a cue on when to hit the high notes. Toward the end of the clip, Tamar Braxton sang louder than her sisters. Seemingly reminiscing on the good old days, Trina Braxton wrote, “I remember this day like it was yesterday. #thelordsprayer ❤️🙏🏾.”
Over 80,000 fans watched the clip, and many suggested that Tamar Braxton’s distinct voice hooked their attention.

The throwback footage was filmed during season 1 of their reality show. At the time, the sisters were rehearsing for an upcoming performance. Rumors swirled this year that “BFV” was canceled and would not be returning for an additional season. This is not the first time people suspected the show was going off the air. In 2018, everyone but Traci Braxton went on strike. The family refused to sign their contracts and argued that the network did not meet their demands. The network and the family came to an agreement afterward.
Tamar Braxton said in a now-deleted tweet from February that the show was not canceled. “We started shooting last year and we finish this month,” she wrote after a fan asked if the show was coming back.
