Keyshia Ka’oir‘s recent attempt to support the Black community quickly turned into an attack on her husband Gucci Mane.
The former video vixen took to Instagram on Sunday, May 31 and posted an illustration of the Black Lives Matter fist symbol to her timeline. She wrote in the caption, “It’s just not ok! All they see is our skin color ✊🏿& not our Human rights! What do u do when 911 is there to help but instead they’re the ones killing us????? So disgusting!!! #GeorgeFloyd REST IN POWER✊🏿”
Although Ka’oir, 35, seemingly had good intentions of bringing awareness to police brutality and the recent protests, fans took up a different issue with her and Gucci.
A user claimed the “I Get the Bag” rapper was an absentee father to his 12-year-old son Keithon, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Sheena Evans. The Instagram user wrote, “That child’s life yall abandoning MATTERS too!”
Ka’oir didn’t respond, but a few of her fans did. “I agree they gotta see his son,” one person said. Another person added, “Well damn🤣🤣.” Others told the IG user that “it’s not about that right now” and someone else commented, “Damn that wasn’t even necessary. He probably is a good father. You don’t know what happens behind closed doors. Let they family be.”
In 2018, Evans sued Gucci Mane and requested he pay her more in child support. She claimed $2,076 a month in support wasn’t enough to take care of their son who reportedly is severely autistic, and asked for $20,000 a month instead. Evans’ legal team said the musician’s finances increased over the years, also pointing out his reported $1 million wedding to wife Ka’oir.
Last July, Gucci and Evans finally settled their nasty child support battle and the rapper agreed to pay her $10,000 a month in support. He also agreed to make a six-figure payment to cover his back child support. Gucci did receive visitation rights, while Evans continued to have primary custody of Keithon.
