‘I Guess Standing on That Chair Was Worth It’: Fans Poke Fun at Ciara’s Selfie After Russell Wilson Records the Singer Searching for the Light

Every social media user knows that the key to achieving an amazing photo stems from the lighting. We’ve all struggled from time to time with capturing the ultimate images of ourselves, and Ciara seems to be no exception.

On Tuesday, May 26, the R&B singer posted a photo on Instagram that showed her holding her baby bump. Clad in a black shirt, which was rolled up to reveal her stomach, the soon-to-be mother of three struck her pose by gazing at the camera. Her long blonde hair was swooped to one side. Ciara added a diamond cross necklace and gold bangles to spice up her simple garment. With no makeup, the “Promise” artist stood in front of what appeared to be her four seasons room, causing the California sun rays to radiate in the background.

Ciara went through great lengths to achieve her dynamic image. Prior to sharing the images on her social media page, her husband, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, recorded the star standing on a chair in their backyard patio attempting to snap the perfect selfie. Ciara explained to Wilson that she was searching for light, implying that the sun was going down. Wilson responded, “You is the light.”

Wilson and Ciara have a 3-year-old daughter, Sienna Princess Wilson, and are expecting a baby boy later this year. Ciara has a 6-year-old son Future Zahir Wilburn from a previous relationship with rapper Future.
