Yandy Smith-Harris and her husband Mendeecees Harris have a few questions for folks claiming they look alike.
Earlier this week, Smith-Harris posted two adorable family photos, one with their 5-year-old daughter Skylar and another with their 7-year-old son Omere. With both portraits, fans claimed the “Love and Hip Hop: New York” star and her husband were starting to resemble each other.
“They say when a couple really in love they start resembling each other .. that’s it u all related 😂,” one fan wrote at the time.
Someone else commented, “I thought it was just me. Yandy and Mendeecees are starting to look like one another.”
On Tuesday, May 19, Smith-Harris took to Instagram and addressed fans’ remarks by posting a couples pic of herself and Harris. She wrote alongside the caption, “WAIT! SO YALL THINK WE RESEMBLE? @mendeecees 🤣🧐So according to you all he got Skylar on the look alike and I got Omere but many of you said we look like brother and sister…really?”
Her post instantly sparked mixed reactions.

Smith-Harris and her husband began dating in 2006 after they met in the music industry. The couple tied the knot in 2015.
In a March Instagram post, Mendeecees Harris penned his wife a sweet message and expressed how grateful he was for her. He wrote, “I know the coronavirus is going crazy right now but there’s no place I rather be than right here with u. I truly believe this is God’s plan. I came home just in time to share this moment with u, be here with u and make u smile, while we face our hardest challenge of them all. I can’t promise what the future holds, however I know I will do my best to make you happy as long as I’m alive.”
In addition to his two children with Smith-Harris, Harris has an 8-year-old son and a 10-year-old son from previous relationships.
