Monica recently served as beauty and fashion inspiration for her fans.
The 39-year-old songstress was pretty much deemed a fashionista by her Instagram followers this week after sharing multiple photos of her jazzy style. She took to Instagram on Thursday, April 30 and shared snapshots that show her posing fiercely in designer wear.
Monica sported a black midi dress, leopard-print utility jacket and black leather thigh-high boots. She paired her look with a Burberry hat that matched her dress and opted for bone-straight stresses. In the first image, the “So Gone” artist smiled for the camera.
She wrote, “This is the day that the Lord has made , let us rejoice & be glad in it …. Psalm 118:24 …. We all have reason to rejoice , we acknowledge daily what’s wrong , let us take time to show gratitude for what’s gone right🖤.”
A second image showed a closeup of Monica and her soft look. In a separated post she added, “I’m still the 12 yr old that walked in the building sure of what I wanted, but things challenged me immensely along the way 🖤 I’m still here ….”
Monica’s fans went wild over her new photos and flooded her with compliments.

Monica’s fashion posts were uploaded a few days after she revealed what she was looking for in her dream man.
She told her friend Tiny Harris in an Instagram Live video that she wants a man who’s traditional.
“I acknowledge that I do need a lot of attention, but I give a lot,” she said. “I need an old-school man in the sense that you can call me hood, you can call me whatever you wanna call me. At the end of the day, I need somebody that’s still a gentleman. That’s why I work so hard with the boys to be gentlemen. I still want you to open the door! I still want you to pull up and pick me up sometimes! I still want you to play my favorite song. I still like all that!”
The newly divorced Monica called it quits with her ex-husband Shannon Brown last March. She said she and the former NBA player are still friends and co-parent their 6-year-old daughter.
