Nope, she’s not alone. As the weeks continue to pass for sheltering in place during the COVID-19 pandemic, Tia Mowry-Hardrict is like many others who’ve decided to have a drink from home — more specifically alcohol — while sticking to stay-at-home orders.
On April 26, Mowry-Hardrict posted a photo to Instagram that showed her holding a glass of red wine in what appeared to be her bathroom. In her caption, she wrote: “#please tell me I’m not #alone#wine#quarantine going into #week#7#saferathome#wegotthis 🍷.”
Mowry-Hardrict hinted in her caption that she was drinking to pass the time that she has spent in her house. She seemingly did not want to feel bad about her decision, and asked her followers through a series of hashtags if they were coping with the pandemic by doing the same.
The answer is yes for a number of others. Nielson reported that alcohol beverage sales shot up 55 percent in the third week of March, indicating that more people purchased alcohol when various states’ stay-at-home orders went into effect.
“Nope. Cheers’ing you on virtually sis 😍.”
“Looking tipsy there @tiamowry 👀🍷😃.”
“Oh yes! The wine stays in stock! 🙌🏽.”
“Nope……since I’m alone I don’t want to drink the whole bottle in one day. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🍷🍷 I be trying 🤭🤭🍾🍾.”
“The wine is in stock! Looks like you’re hiding 😂,” a fifth jokingly said.
A sixth asked, “Are you hiding in the bathroom…because same?! Lol.”
Mowry-Hardrict, a mother to 8-year-old Cree Hardrict and 1-year-old Cairo Hardrict, revealed in her comments that she was indeed sneaking away from her children and her husband, Cory Hardrict, to enjoy her adult time. The “Family Reunion” and “Sister, Sister” actress seemed to be fond of her red wine, but that’s not the only alcoholic beverage in which she likes to indulge.
The “Tia & Tamera” reality star shared in a 2017 interview with AOL that she loves Baileys. “I’ve always been a huge fan of Baileys. It was actually the first ever cocktail that I made at home with friends. I had my friends over and my cousins over — I thought I was doing something! When I was in college, that was the thing. It is so nice and creamy and nice and sweet,” she said.
