It looks like Reginae Carter and her ex-boyfriend YFN Lucci both had some things to get off their chests about their breakup last year.
Carter, 21, called it quits with the “Heartless” rapper, 29, after he attended the controversial cucumber-themed pool party in Atlanta last August. Since the new season of “T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle,” Carter has spoken openly about their past off-and-on romance and her relationship concerns.
In an Instagram live sit-down on Tuesday, April 21, with radio personality Fly Guy DC, Lucci addressed his ex-girlfriend’s comments on the show, saying that he didn’t regret going to infamous cucumber party that led to their breakup.
“I’m me, bro’. If you ain’t gon’ like me, I ain’t trying to change or make you f–k with me,” Lucci said.
He added that their eight-year age difference may have played a role in their breakup but doubled down by saying there’s a lot of “young folks” who are mature. He also said “everybody ain’t the same.” When asked if he felt like he had a responsibility to portray a different image due to Carter’s father being Lil Wayne, Lucci answered, “Hell naw.”
Carter and her “Friends and Family Hustle” co-star Shekinah Anderson hopped on Live together earlier that day, where they spoke about relationships. The young actress told Anderson she’d never date another rapper despite who her father is.
“I don’t care how old I get or how young I am, I will never allow no man to post a girl shaking they a–,” said Carter. “I don’t care if she’s shaking it to your music. It’s a respect thing. Maybe that’s just not me. Maybe that’s just not my crowd. But I will never be cool with no man going to no party with no hecka naked girls shoving cucumbers anywhere.”
She then went on to say, “I will never date a rapper again. I learned my lesson.”
