Like other social media users, comedian Steve Harvey has a few words to get off his chest about the recent Instagram battle of songs between R&B producers Teddy Riley and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds.
In an April 18 battle, Riley was unprepared to go up against Babyface due to technical difficulties. The incident led to a social media dragging for Riley and Babyface, with many suggesting they postpone the battle.
Before the two legendary musicians returned for a rematch on IG Monday, April 20, fans apparently wondered what Harvey thought of the battle.
“Alright man uncle Steve weighing in on this battle thing. Now it took 15 people to get me to do this ” Harvey said in a video. “When I found out that it was Babyface and Teddy Riley I got involved ’cause that’s R&B man. That’s rhythm and blues that’s what I know, that’s all I know.”
Harvey encouraged Riley to get better prepared before his re-match with Babyface on April 20.
“Now listen, Teddy fix your mess for tonight because people in my age group, we ain’t got time to log back in and go back. We don’t know nothin about technical difficulties, all of us difficult in my age group. … I ain’t got no dog in this fight, I love both of them, both of them is geniuses and both of them is legends. Let’s get it on, let’s make it right. Got my money on the winner.”

Harvey’s post comes just a few days after fans noticed that he’d lost weight.
Amid promoting his favorite football team, the Cleveland Browns, and wearing one of their jerseys, folks noticed how amazing the talk show host looked. Many claimed he’d lost a lot of weight, while others deemed him “skinny.”
Harvey confirmed he did indeed shed a few pounds, saying, “Yeah, you see me slimming down too.”
