Sierra Gates seemingly regrets mushing her former best friend Karlie Redd in the face during their fracas on last week’s episode of “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta.” Their feud continued to play out this week in the March 30 episode, and it’s safe to say the pair will not be mending their friendship anytime soon.
Gates received good news on the March 30 episode pertaining to her assault case. The Glam Shop owner learned that she would be absolved of all criminal charges after her lawyer obtained new evidence that proved her innocence. The reality star’s victory was short-lived after rumors swirled that Redd would be pressing assault charges against her in connection with their dust-up.
Gates met with Redd later in the episode and issued an apology to her for hitting her in the face. Redd seemingly did not accept her remorse, and the pair parted ways in tears after realizing their friendship was officially broken.
The 30-year old entrepreneur now appears to be working hard to mend her relationship with Redd. Gates posted a video to Instagram on March 30 issuing a public apology to her former friend.
“I’ve apologized so many times, but I really feel like my friend Karlie deserves a public apology because that shouldn’t have happened. Karlie has always been a great person to me, so that was nothing that was planned. That was nothing that I wanted to happened, ” she said in her video. Her viral apology seemed authentic, but many of her fans thought otherwise.
“The onlyyyyy reason why @sierra_glamshop_ went public right after the episode aired is because she knew that the internet was going to come for her behind,” one user user said.
A second fan wrote, “Girl just be honest and say you don’t want another case dam.”
“She not sorry she just don’t want a second case🙄🙄,” a third user said.
“Full of Sh*t,” a fourth fan commented.
“FRIEND!!! You call yourself a friend; girl bye,” a fifth virtually shouted.
A sixth user commented, “That was wrong period… what you did is not what friends do….”
Gates and Redd fell out after Redd unintentionally missed Gates’ court date. Gates was facing 12 months in prison after her ex-husband’s child’s mother claimed Gates physically assaulted her in 2017 while she was pregnant. The New York native was with Gates when the alleged incident occurred, so Gates asked Redd to testify on her behalf. Redd was stuck in traffic the day of her court appearance and claimed that Gates gave her the wrong court room number when she did show up.
It’s unclear to fans if the pair will ever be friends again. The newest season of “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on VH1.
