Steve Harvey posted an Instagram message on Saturday, Feb. 22, and revealed that his new Facebook Watch series, “Steve on Watch,” has been a big success.
“@SteveTVShow on @FacebookWatch has over 100 MILLION VIEWS!” he wrote in the caption of a video. “I couldn’t have done it without you 🙏🏽 I’m so thankful. I can’t wait for you to see all the new episodes still to come.”
Many of Harvey’s 5.8 million Instagram followers responded to the post and let him know how thrilled they are that his talk show is doing so well.
“This is so amazing @iamsteveharveytv and a huge testimony for you!” read one of the comments. “I attended one of the live tapings here in Atlanta! I loved it! Congratulations Steve! 💯💃🏾🤗😊.”
“Bless you, Steve!” wrote someone else. “Keep on doing what you do.”
“Keep that Cleveland hustle up Steve we love you man keep pushing,” another fan encouraged.
There were also many who let Harvey know how much they adore his Facebook Watch series.
“I love your talk show,” wrote one of his fans. “You are a awesome host. Nice set. Great topics and games. Cool stories and guest. I believe my favorite Project of yours.”
In December 2019, Harvey announced that “Steve On Watch” would be coming, several months after NBCUniversal canceled the TV version of his talk show.
It was replaced with “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” hosted by Kelly Clarkson from “American Idol” and now “The Voice.”
Harvey blasted NBCUniversal in January of last year for the move, mainly because he learned about it through the press.
“You know, I’m an honorable guy,” he said then. “I’m just an old-school guy, and I just thought that you’re supposed to just talk to people and just go, ‘Look, you’ve been good business for us. This is what we’re thinking of doing, are you OK with that?’”
“No, you just don’t put something in the paper and say, ‘I’m just going to make this move right here,’ because it’s crazy,” he added.
