Nick Cannon had Tamron Hall as a guest on his Power 106 radio show this week and admitted that he tried to date her in the past.
“She loves Alaïa,” Cannon said about a gift he sent Hall a while back, since she’s a big fan of the Tunisian designer. “I was shooting my shot. She was single.”
“I was single at the time, and I would have taken his shot. Just being honest,” Hall then followed.
Hall was working on the “Today” show at the time and said she never received the Alaïa scarf that Cannon sent because someone stole it.
“I knew you knew Alaïa because Mariah [Carey] likes Alaïa, and you’re fly,” Hall explained. “And Nick said, ‘Did you get my gift?’ And I said ‘No’ and I legit went through the ‘Today’ show like a tornado: ‘Someone stole Nick Cannon’s gift to me.’ I DMed him thank you. He never replied. Yeah, that was rude.”
Cannon said he didn’t see that message until one year later.
Hall went on to tell Cannon that she truly respects him because he’s able to be a “chameleon” in entertainment, whether he’s hosting a radio show, running things on his series “Wild ‘n Out” or being a host on prime-time shows like “The Masked Singer.”
On Instagram, many left comments about Cannon shooting his shot at Hall, and they seemed to like the idea of them as a couple.
“I like them together. Must not have been meant to be though,” someone wrote.
“Would’ve been a dynamic couple 💃😍🕺,” another person predicted.
Cannon was married to Carey from 2008 to 2016 and they have two children together. Hall is married to music executive Steven Greener, with whom she has an infant son.
