“DRAKOOOOOOOOOO? DRAKOOOOOOOOOO?” Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Soulja Boy, aka Drako, has returned to social media with a new look.

Soulja Boy uploaded two new photos to his official Instagram account Saturday, Feb.22 — rocking a graphic tie-dye hoodie, light blue jeans, and all-white kicks. “Drako back, let’s turn up 😌,” the 29-year-old rapper wrote for his caption.

Soulja Boy’s last Instagram post was June 19 of last year. The SODMG CEO uploaded a clip of his record “Breakout” with the group Almost Famous, which garnered over a million views.

So why did Big Soulja leave social media in the first place?

In July of 2019, TMZ reported that Soulja Boy wanted to shy away from social media for a while. The “Crank That” rapper spent three months in the Los Angeles County Jail after he violated his probation in April 2019.

He was sentenced to 240 days behind bars and 265 days of community service, but released 146 days early due to his good behavior, time served, and overcrowding in the jail.

While incarcerated, Soulja Boy’s San Fernando Valley home was robbed with $500,000 in cash, jewelry, and his iPhone stolen. Convinced it was an inside job, the MC was prompted to kick several of his friends out of his circle.

The last time Soulja Boy took the internet by storm, he appeared on “The Breakfast Club,” discussing the biggest comeback of 2018, and claiming that artists like Drake and Ariana Grande took his flow.

It was this interview, his famous line “Drakeeeeeeeeee, Drakeeeeeeeeee” that took social media by storm with several memes flooding Twitter and Instagram timelines.

Check out the interview below. To see the Drake portion, fast forward to 49:14.
