Supporters of Reginae Carter aren’t tolerating people stirring up drama between her and her ex-boyfriend, rapper YFN Lucci.
The 21-year-old young actress took to Instagram on Thursday and uploaded a natural beauty and fashion photo of herself taken outdoors. In the image, Carter posed makeup-free in her burgundy curve-hugging jumpsuit and $1590 multi-colored Gucci sneakers.
She accessorized her look with a Gucci fanny pack and a large double-R pendant crafted by an Atlanta jeweler. Carter captioned her post “I took the lead and let everyone follow 😏.”
Although folks gawked over Carter’s appearance, fans instantly turned their attention to her chain. They apparently mistook the necklace for Lucci’s chain she used to wear.
“Oh I peeped the chain sis 😍😍”
“Is that Lucci’s chain? 👀”
“Oh I see the RR necklace is back 😕. So we back with ol boy I see? #gook”
Fans quickly jumped to Carter’s defense and set the record straight.
“Ya’ll relax it’s her and her sister’s initials,” one person said.
Another commented, “No it’s not Lucci’s necklace she been had it.”
According to a July 2018 post from Carter’s official Instagram page, she and her mother Toya Wright bought matching RR necklaces to represent her name and her baby sister Reign Rushing.
“Thank you @mrchrisdajeweler for making my mom and I matching chains 😍😍 love it 🤗 #doubleR #Reginae&Reign,” the television personality wrote at the time.
Carter and the “Heartless” rapper called their relationship quits last summer after she allegedly caught him engaging with other women at a cucumber-themed swim party. She announced via Twitter that she and Lucci were over for good.
“Tbh, I’ve made myself look like a fool for this man and I apologize for allowing you guys to see it,” she wrote at the time. “I was loosing myself but baby I promise imma FIND ME again.”
Carter and Lucci began dating in 2017. The former couple had a controversial relationship due to the rapper being eight years her senior.
