‘Two Legged Dogs’: Monica Gives Fans Insight on the Type of Man She Doesn’t Want

It seems Monica knows exactly what she’s looking for in a man.

The 39-year-old singer revealed a bit more information about the type of men who are not welcome in her life. She took to Instagram on Sunday afternoon and posted a photo of herself posing with a white golden doodle.

Posing next to her four-legged friend in a white jogger suit and sneakers, Monica wrote in her caption, “The only kind of dog welcome in my life … Two legged dogs NOT welcome (insert smize) 😂 ….  #NoDogsAllowed #4LegsOnly #ThisDogsBeautiful #NotMineWeJustPlayedAwhile 🤍  #TOOTSyourethebest”

Fans apparently agreed with Monica’s statement and flooded her comments section.

“I KNOW THATS RIGHT! And I’m skeptical about the 2 legged ones 😏😂. I hear you girl”

“You look so happy Monica!!! Never allow anyone take your smile away!!! Even if you have to smile alone 🤷🏾‍♀️😏”

“You’ll change your mind when the right man comes into your life ❤️ but I agree! No two legged dogs sis! Uh un”

“Oop. Periodt. Say it louder for the people in the back🗣🗣🆗️🆗️ no dogs allowed don’t disturb my peace 😍”

Monica and her ex-husband, former NBA player Shannon Brownofficially ended their nine-year marriage in a Fayetteville, Georgia, courthouse on Oct. 22.

The mother of three filed to separate from Brown in March, and after initially remaining mum, she shared some insight into how their love turned cold.

“We were married almost nine years, and I think life changes really got the best of both of us at times,” she explained on “The Breakfast Club” in April. “I take accountability for what my part is. Divorce has not been easy.”

Meanwhile, Brown didn’t seem bothered about the attention focused on the split.

“It’s part of it, though, when you’re in the public eye,” he said on “Sister Circle” in July after sharing he’s “fine.” “You’ve got to be able to deal with whatever come along with it. I’m strong in my faith and my spirituality, so that’s what pull me or push me.”

Monica and Brown tied the knot in 2010 before divorcing last year. They share 7-year-old daughter Laiyah Brown.
