It looks like Monica is single and ready to mingle as a newly divorced woman.
The 39-year-old R&B crooner is back on the market after being married to ex-husband and former NBA player Shannon Brown for eight years, and it looks like she knows exactly what she’s looking for in her partner.
On Monday evening, the “So Gone” singer took to Instagram and shared a beautiful photo of herself dressed to the nines. In her post, she also mentioned that she’s not currently looking for a significant other, but when the time is right there are a few qualities her boo needs to have.
“I just want him to be God-Fearing, Hard Working, Honest , with Principles & Integrity that will never be compromised!!” Monica wrote. ” OH, and there’s a height requirement for this ride 😂😜.”
When a fan asked what the height requirement was, the singer responded, “I’m 5’9 and I’m heels 5’11 or better (depends on the shoe) soooooo LoL.”
The majority of fans applauded the singer for moving on following her recent divorce, while others tried to shoot their shot.

Monica filed for divorce from Brown in March 2019, nearly eight years after the two wed in July 2011.
Their divorce was finalized on Oct. 22 after Monica appeared in a Fayetteville, Georgia, courthouse with her attorney. The judge granted her divorce request in under 10 minutes, according to TMZ, and she was also given back her maiden name of Arnold.
The couple had a daughter in 2013 named Laiyah Brown, and Monica has two boys named Rocko and Romelo with the rapper Rocko.
While the reason for the pair’s split hasn’t been revealed, Monica did confirm it was not because of a cheating scandal. “And we fight the good fight because we have children watching us. So the reality is that, no matter what happens, he will always get my absolute respect, gratitude and also my assistance in being a part of whatever his life becomes,” she previously stated on “The RuPaul Show” in June.
